AIA/CES Accredited Courses
As an AIA/CES Registered Provider, VDA offers courses for AIA members and other licensed architects in states with mandatory continuing education (MCE) for re-licensure. Current courses include:
  • Basic Elevatoring
    Discusses differences between main types of vertical transportation equipment and their operations, factors determining elevator system efficiencies, and basic "rules of thumb" to determine number and types of elevators required in buildings based on size/use/population.
  • Code Changes Related to ASME A17.1-2000
    Compares the newly adopted ASME A17.1-2000 edition to the previous code edition and highlights changes affecting architectural design of buildings with elevators
