Harvard Club - Expansion
New York, NY

Construction on the new 40,000 sq. ft., 8-story extension to the club began in summer 2001. The project required tearing down two buildings adjacent to the club to make room for the all-glass contemporary structure. The new building houses additional guest rooms, an expanded state-of-the-art kitchen facility, an expanded fitness center and new meeting rooms. The project also included renovation of 100,000 sq. feet of existing space.

VDA provided full consulting services for the addition of two (2) new geared passenger elevators serving all floors in the new building, and a new 4-stop hydraulic kitchen elevator with an in-ground cylinder. The project was completed in November 2003.
