This new 1.1 million sq. ft. courthouse for the Brooklyn Supreme and Family Court is located at the corner of Jay Street and Tech Place in downtown Brooklyn, New York.

The 32-story facility has 84 courtrooms, including two large ceremonial courts, a 750-person jury assembly room, a 300-person detention facility, offices, and administrative space. It is the largest new court building in New York and houses numerous city offices, in addition to 140, 000 sq. ft. of speculative office space.

The building was planned to separate each of the three functions with distinct entrances, elevator cores and security systems, as well as public and judges' circulation systems. VDA provided full consulting services through construction administration for 31 elevators and 4 escalators.
