American Girl New York is the company's second retail and entertainment destination. Similar to the flagship store in Chicago, IL, the 43,000 sq. ft. location includes the retail collection, a café, and an intimate 140-seat theater, along with office, support, and storage functions.

VDA provided full consulting services for the design and installation of 6 new escalators, 2 dual roped holeless hydraulic elevators serving 5 stops, a continuous vertical conveyor, and a wheelchair lift. American Girl New York opened in November 2003.
